1/17 Maya Week 2

Block-ville 2nd Rendering
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To create the illusion of scale and depth many technicians can be taken advantage of such as level of detail, level of contrast, vanishing points, size over distance as well as many more I can't seem to recall at the moment. Each of these images uses vanishing points, the first and second using one point and the third using two with one of them going off screen. The structures themselves appear to shrink as they approach the background. Going from foreground to background contrast decreases as well as the general level of detail for each of these. Colors becomes more dull further away and much sharper or vibrant closer to the view port.
On a side not, in game design as well as some modeling, efficiency is always a important thing to consider. You don't need to create something complex if your going to place it off in the distance where no one could even make it out.
